About Me:

About 4 years ago, I found myself not completely fulfilled with where life had taken me. My job was great; I was working for Office Lube, a mobile automotive service company headquartered in Silicon Valley. I had moved to Santa Clara in 2006 to help a friend grow this business. While this endeavor proved to be successful, and although the work was challenging and rewarding, after a few years I found myself wanting something different. I have always excelled at the mathematics and sciences, and decided it was time for a change. I spoke with my father about the possibility of going back to school to finish getting my degree. He was ecstatic about the idea and offered to support me in any way he could.

In December of 2009 I moved back to Orange County with the intent of obtaining a degree in Engineering. Due to difficulties related to the substantial time I had been away from school, I was not able to get readmitted to UCSD for a little over a year. In the meantime, I took classes at a local Junior College and researched which degree would best suit my talents and interests. I have always enjoyed designing things, and my logical way of thinking about things seemed suited to programming. When I was finally readmitted to UCSD, I chose to major in Electrical Engineering while choosing the Software Design depth sequence.

These last few years in school have proven to be the happiest of my adult life. I have rediscovered my passion for learning, and have thoroughly enjoyed conquering the challenges that the classroom brought to me. I am proud of having earned over a 3.60 GPA since my return, while earning Provost Honors in six of eight quarters.

I graduated from UCSD in December of 2013 and am currently looking for work in the San Diego area. My understanding of electric circuits, coupled with the programming skills I have learned, are leading me to pursue a career related to embedded systems. I am always looking to connect with people who have similar interests. Please feel free to send me an email if you know of any job opportunities in the area, or if you just want to chat. Thank you!
